RMS Face Mask Design Contest SPECIAL THANKS to the RMS student artists who have demonstrated the Grizzly spirits by submitting these wonderful face mask designs! Now it's time for all of us to choose the winning design that will be our official face mask. Everyone in the RMS community is invited to vote, including RMS staff & students, families, friends, AND neighbors! Just forward this link and invite them to vote before 5:00 PM on September 18, and join the RMS fun!

The RMS PTSA Board of Directors meeting will take place on Monday, September 21, 7:00 PM on Microsoft Teams. It is open to all. Join us for the Science Team Info Night! Please mark the date, timing for the virtual meeting this year. This will be your chance to learn more about various Science Team activities planned this year and join the RMS PTSA Science Team.

Online Enrichment Enrollment Now OPEN! (Repeat)

The RMS and Horace Mann PTSAs have teamed up to offer some exciting online Enrichment Classes this Fall - Morning Dance/Fitness, Roblox Game Programming, Drama, Cartooniversity, and Dinner Club! Enrollment will be open September 11-25 and classes will start the week of September 28. Age requirements are listed on the website for each class. Class chaperones get free tuition for their child and a guaranteed spot in the class. Click here to volunteer to be a chaperone.

Get Ahead with STEM4Change Classes

STEM4Change is a nonprofit organization run by Redmond High School students that provides FREE, online/in-person classes on STEM subjects (programming, math, biology, physics, and more) or homework help for students that want to get a head start in STEM. Courses are taught by instructors who have excelled in college-level classes of the subject that they teach or have extensive experience working in STEM fields. Lake Washington Schools Foundation

Lake Washington Schools Foundation supports students and families across the district via multiple programs. Here is a quick overview of their programs:

Pantry Packs: Works to address student food-insecurity with weekend food packs. 
Balance in Mind: Works to address emotional and mental health challenges faced by students. 
Find Your Fit: Helps students and families prepare for success after high school.

Redmond Community Center Update

On September 15, 2020, City Council is requested to make a decision on the future of the Redmond Senior Center building, which include options to rebuild as a senior center only or as an expanded community center with dedicated senior space. LWSD and LWPTSA Council invite you to the 4th annual Welcome Event for new and international families. This year we will hold two shorter online sessions on September 16 and September 23, both from 4:00-6:00 PM. Special Education Group Meeting (Repeat)
