No School on Monday, Sept. 7 | There is no school on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. For all LWSD dates, please review the LWSD 2020-2021 Calendar. | Change in RMS Bell Schedule for Sept. 8-11 | The Remote-Learning Daily Bell Schedule for RMS has changed for the week of September 8-11. On Tuesday, September 8 students will go to all periods of the day, 1-6. Wednesday, September 9 resembles a regular Wednesday schedule. Please see the updated schedule for September 8-11.To find the most up-to-date calendar for any week, visit the RMS Remote Learning Bell Schedule website for each week of the school year. | Starting September 8, LWSD will offer free daily meals to children ages 1-18. Pickup is available daily from multiple locations. Submit your order online. Online menu, ordering links, and pickup locations can be found at https://www.lwsd.org/fall-2020/grab-go-student-meals. | PTSA Volunteer Spotlight: Ed Kaim | The Volunteer Spotlight is here to recognize those who volunteer at Redmond Middle School. THANK YOU for your amazing dedication and support. We are a better organization because of you! The RMS PTSA shines the spotlight on: Ed KaimEd Kaim is the Chairperson of the RMS PTSA Math Club. He's been actively coaching math teams for years and last year, he expanded the RMS PTSA program to include more students with different math levels. Mask Designs Due Sept. 12! | FINAL NOTICE - The contest deadline is September 12, 11:59 PM. It's just around the corner so have your student submit a design as soon as possible! The winner gets a $20 gift card and a free mask! All RMS students are welcome to participate!All RMS students are welcome to participate! Voting will be done online between September 15-16, and the winner will be announced on September 21. RMS PTSA is looking forward to receiving lots of creative entries! Email maskcontest@rmsptsa.org with any questions. | Online Enrichment Enrollment Opens Sept. 11 @ 6pm | The RMS and Horace Mann PTSAs have teamed up to offer some exciting online Enrichment Classes this Fall - Morning Dance/Fitness, Roblox Game Programming, Drama, Cartooniversity, and Dinner Club! Enrollment will be open Sept 11-25 and classes will start the week of Sept 28. All messages will be posted on our PTSA Fence Messages website at http://rmsptsa.org/Page/Programs/FenceMessages. | Reflections Program Needs A Chair | As school starts, many students will be looking for the opportunity to express their artistic creativity. The Reflections Program, a National PTA arts competition, is a great way to give students of all ages and abilities that chance. Check out the Reflections YouTube video. This year's theme is "I Matter Because...".There will be an orientation meeting for Reflections chairpersons on September 21 detailing some changes to the processes of the program this year. However, RMS PTSA does not have a chairperson to head up the program yet. If no one comes forward before this date, RMS PTSA may not be able to support the program this year. If you are passionate about art, or have a student that wants to participate, or just want to help out, contact enrichment@rmsptsa.org to volunteer to become the chairperson or get more information. This position is underneath the VP of Enrichment and can be shared by more than one person.

| LWPTSA Council Special Education Group will host its first monthly meeting Tuesday, September 15. Parent networking starts at 6:30 PM. At 7:00 PM, LWSD's Dr. Shannon Hitch will talk about what is happening with LWSD Special Services in 2020-2021 and introduce the administrative team that supports all schools in the district. COVID safety precautions will be required. For more information regarding this service, please view the flyer. When: Thursday, September 17, 1:00-5:00 PM Where: Eastgate Public Health Clinic (14350 SE Eastgate Way, Bellevue, WA 98007) Who: Open to all King County kids ages 0-18 years of age | LWSD invites you to connect with them!• Send a message to LWSD through their Facebook, Twitter or Instagram of your photos and videos of the many fun, unique and creative learning opportunities in their remote setting for a chance to be featured on their social media channels.• Calling all LWSD students! LWSD is asking student artists to color in our “We've got this” coloring sheet. Then, take a picture of yourself holding the sheet when you are done, and post to the LWSD Facebook page to share with the rest of our community!
