LWSD Live Update, Jan. 6 (Repeat) | On Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 6:00 PM, LWSD Superintendent, Dr. Jon Holmen, will be hosting a live update about LWSD's Pathway Forward. This live update will be recorded for families that are not able to view the live broadcast. More information can be found on the LWSD Pathway Forward website located at https://www.lwsd.org/pathway-forward. | RHS Virtual Future Freshman Parent Night, Jan. 13 | 8th grade families, the RHS Counseling Department welcomes you to Virtual Future Freshmen Parent Night on Wednesday, January 13. Come learn about the transition from 8th to 9th grade, RHS schedules, graduation requirements, and much more. The video will be available on the RHS Counseling webpage under "Course Registration" at https://rhs.lwsd.org/counseling/course-registration. | School Registration Process for 2021-22 | January 2021 will usher in the registration process for the 2021-2022 school year. Students will learn how to request their core courses and electives online this year during various registration events.
Current 8th graders: Registration for high school will begin on January 14. Counselors from Redmond High School will virtually visit 8th grade students in their social studies classes and guide them through the online registration process.
Current 6th and 7th graders: The registration process for continuing middle school will begin at the end of January with virtual visits from RMS counselors. The 2021-2022 RMS Course Catalog will be available after the Winter Break.
On January 12, RMS will host a virtual Incoming 6th grade Family Night. Families will learn more about Redmond Middle School and plans for next year (including new 6th grade electives).

| The PTSA Needs You for Nominating Committee! (Repeat) | The RMS PTSA is looking for a few good people to be on the 2020-21 Nominating Committee.
We're looking for three individuals to serve on our Nominating Committee, presenting a unified slate of candidates for next year's RMS PTSA Board of Directors. These volunteers play an integral role in shaping RMS PTSA. Take a chance, step-up, and make a difference! Being on the Nominating Committee doesn't take a lot of time and most communication is done through email. The Nominating Committee is in charge of identifying and recruiting candidates for the incoming PTSA Board. This is a relatively simple, but very important task. Training and resources available. To volunteer or for more information, please fill out this very short Nominating Committee Interest Form. | COVID-19 "Stay Safe-Stay Healthy" Update | On December 30, Gov. Jay Inslee announced an extension of the "Stay Safe–Stay Healthy" proclamation, along with the statewide restrictions imposed. The extension of the statewide restrictions will now expire on January 11, 2021. An updated reopening plan is currently being developed to provide a pathway for businesses and workers impacted by this order to reopen safely.
