| Online School Opening 2021-22 |
LWSD is currently developing an online school that will open in the fall of 2021 initially targeting incoming 9th grade students. The online option is separate from the remote learning students are currently experiencing. Information about the new online school will be presented during a Teams Live event on March 11. Any family interested in attending the online session is asked to submit questions before the Live Event. | | The RMS PTSA Nominating Committee is pleased to open the nominations process for 2021-2022 RMS PTSA Board of Directors! Nominate yourself or others! No experience is necessary and we enthusiastically welcome parents/guardians new to the school or community! We are looking for nominations for the office of:
President | Treasurer | Secretary | VP Volunteers | VP Communications | VP FACE | VP of Enrichment | VP of Fundraising | Director of Membership | Director of Staff Support If you or someone you know has a passion for kids and the programs that help them succeed, please consider submitting a nomination. The PTSA Board serves the RMS school community, providing programs, support, and services that might otherwise not be available to the students, families and staff in our area. We believe a great school experience for all students begins with strong partnerships! If you would like to be a part of this team or know of someone who might want to join us, please fill out the RMS PTSA Nominations Form. A print form is available upon request. | The joint RMS and Mann PTSA Enrichment Team will be sponsoring the Rainy Day Dinner Club: March Into Spring Class. Each week results in a dinner to feed a family of 4-6. As part of this nationwide network, parents have a voice in decisions that impact children in their individual schools, and at the district, state and national levels. One of the most important roles of PTA is the grassroots advocacy to push for laws that improve the lives of all children. The Washington state legislature is in session, and WSPTA will send action alerts and informational broadcasts to WSPTA members who have subscribed to WSPTA’s Action Network Group. Essential services will continue to be provided and staff that can work remotely, will do so. Visit redmond.gov/COVID-19 for helpful resources, updates, recommendations, and status of City services.Redmond Senior/Community CenterJoin Redmond and help design your new Redmond Senior and Community Center! In 2020, over 2,500 seniors and Redmond residents provided input to help shape the design and amenities of a new Redmond Senior and Community Center. The community is now invited to provide input on the proposed design and amenities and to share new ideas. Attend the virtual meetings on Wednesday, March 24 or share your ideas through the online questionnaire by March 10. • 1:00 PM Senior-only Virtual Meeting (RVSP) • 6:30 PM All Public Virtual Meeting (RSVP) King County Metro Route to Recovery SurveyAs part of its recovery program, King County Metro is making plans to gradually restore suspended service where it’s needed the most. | The Lake Washington PTSA Council is pleased to roll out its 2021 Scholarship Program! Council offers several student scholarships and two $500 staff scholarships every spring. This year’s Student Scholarship Program will include 14 scholarships of $1,250 each. Applications for both staff and student scholarships are due by NOON on March 25.
